My interest in radio began when I was in high school and wanted to get into Ham radio with my friend Tim Berry (WB4GBI). I took the test in Atlanta from the FCC in 1975. I had been pretty much active since that time. Man! Has it really been that long?!
My wife, Janeen recently got her technician license and then quickly upgraded to General and then Extra over the next two months! I never thought she would be interested but she was and it's been terrific to talk to her over the air! Her original call was KO4RJG but she didn't care for that call, so her vanity call is W7JWH. Give her a call! She hangs out on 145.37 in Knoxville.
My Dad KJ4IAU got his Technician license on 11-20-2008. Dad is a silent key now and I miss him very much. His dream since he was a little boy was to have a Ham license. I'm so glad I was able to help him fulfill that dream. 73s Dad, I love you and miss you.
